Join the Bedford Council on Aging this October for a spooktacular Poetry and Costume Celebration! Enjoy dressing up in your best Halloween costume, and live poetry readings with special guest authors, Jason O’Toole, Jack Giaour (that’s me!), and Toni Artuso:

Jason O’Toole (he/him/his) is Poet Laureate Emeritus of North Andover, MA. His newest collections are The Strange Misgivings of the Sadly Gifted (Dead Man’s Press Ink) and Wait Out the Burn (Ghost City Press).

Jack Giaour (he/him/his) is a gay, trans, and neurodivergent poet, with work appearing or forthcoming in Nixes Mate Review, the Sonora Review, and Fourteen Hills, among other journals.

Toni Artuso (she/her/hers) is an emerging/aging trans female writer with work appearing in The Christian Science Monitor, The Ekphrastic Review, Jersey Devil Press, among other journals.

Costumes are encouraged but not required! A cold, light lunch will be provided.

Second Saturdays @ Zumi's Topsfield

It’s my pleasure to be the featured poet this month at Zumi’s in Topsfield, MA! Join us for coffee, poetry, performance, and community. The open mic runs from 3-4pm, and then the feature runs from 4-4:30pm.

PS - Don’t confuse this Zumi’s with the one in Ipswich! Make sure the GPS is taking you to TOPSFIELD ^__^

Tuesday Night Concerts on the River

All summer long, there will be free concerts and poetry readings happening on the Ipswich Riverwalk in Ipswich, MA!

On Tuesday, July 16th, come see the Orville Giddings Band (https://www.facebook.com/p/Orville-Giddings-Band-100066648468580/ ) play some rock n’ roll, r+b, and soul. Between sets, join me for the “poetry break” at 7pm on the Riverwalk Stage.

And if you can’t make it out on the 16th, check out the schedule here (https://northshorekid.com/event/ipswich-downtown-tuesdays ) for the full summer music line-up. Each set will feature a different local poet for a 20 minute “poetry break” at 7pm, all free and open to the public.
